The Plan: On April 23rd, 2013, I will begin a bicycle expedition starting at the Pacific Ocean in San Diego, California, and pedalling through 8 states. I will be exploring the Southwest, the Deep South, and the Gulf Coast until I reach my goal of biking over 3,000 miles eastward to the Atlantic Ocean in St. Augustine, Florida.
The Reason: To honor my cousin Kim, by raising money and awareness for Triple Negative Breast Cancer and The National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Loaded Test Ride
I was lucky to have a beautiful day to test out my loading bike. It weighed in at 80 pounds without food and water. Pretty much what I was expecting. Then I took it for a ride and it was trouble free. I leave for San Diego two weeks from today.
